Job Summary
A Drafting CAD Technician is needed for a manufacturing company considered one of the world’s leading innovators in materials science in the Harrodsburg, KY area. This role is responsible for managing the site’s drawing vault, performing field verifications, and providing AutoCAD/SolidWorks support within a manufacturing facility. Location

High School Responsibilities
Manages drafting documents and services for the HaKY plant, including electronic and physical drawing storage. Creates and modifies drawings using AutoCAD and SolidWorks. Serves as the Meridian drawing vault administrator. Manages drawing requests and check‑out logs in compliance with IA policies. Performs field inspections to verify and modify as‑built drawings, focusing on facility layouts. Converts SolidWorks 3D models into 2D technical drawings. Maintains and executes documented drafting policies and procedures. Provides training and technical support for drafting systems to other users. Manages 3D printing services and plotter equipment/supplies. Organizes and maintains the drafting room environment. Skills
Proficient in AutoCAD. Ability to field verify drawings, specifically facility related. Strong organizational skills. Strong communication skills. Ability to work independently under general scope. Ability to adhere to procedures & guidelines. Ability to learn new technology and processes quickly. Ability to collaborate across organizational boundaries and integrate solutions. Desired Skills
Drawing management experience. Meridian or similar vault system experience. SharePoint experience. 3D printing experience. Proficient in SolidWorks. AutoCAD Electrical experience. Education and Experience
Certified Drafting Technician or equivalent. 3+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred). Qualifications
