Introduction
We at the Potomac Center/SETT facility provide quality person‑centered support to adults with intellectual disabilities at our campus in Hagerstown, Maryland. Our aim is to partner with the community to help our residents achieve their goals. The Potomac Center is a 62‑bed licensed Intermediate Care Facility (ICF) focused on therapeutic interventions to empower residents toward community living. The Secure Evaluation and Therapeutic Treatment (SETT) Program is a 32‑bed licensed Forensic that delivers services to individuals with intellectual disabilities and court involvement, providing active treatment, evaluation, assessment, and competency attainment education.

Main Purpose of Job The main purpose of this position is to assure all staff of the Potomac Center and SETT receive and successfully complete all relevant and quality training as per Federal and State Regulations and the needs of the facility and the individual who resides at the Potomac Center/SETT. This position will work directly with the Facility Training Coordinator who is responsible for tracking all training and maintaining all relevant documentation in a staff‑specific filing system. All duties are performed in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and protocols.
Minimum Qualifications
Six years of experience planning and conducting employee development and training.
Substitute options: a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and two years of experience in planning, conducting, or coordinating training or staff development activities; or one year‑for‑year U.S. Armed Forces commissioned officer experience in education and training classification.
Desired or Preferred Qualifications
Experience delivering training and/or educational programs.
Knowledge of adult learning styles and how to incorporate them during training sessions.
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Selection Process Applicants who meet the minimum qualifications will be included in further evaluation.
