Job Description Position Summary:

The Sales Account Manager is the focal point for maintaining and communicating the sales and operational plan for the Operation. This includes serving as the liaison between the customer and operations on relevant issues while working closely with Production Control, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality to achieve customer requirements while maximizing sales/profit opportunities.

Essential Functions

Develop and communicate the salesԿ plan for the operation with roll‑ups for the month, quarter and year Report to staff leadership status on manufacturing throughput, open orders, work‑in‑process inventory, critical parts, late‑to‑purchase order and potential bottlenecks Interface with Production Control, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality to coordinate PCC customer interface and ensure customer requirements are satisfied

Interface with supply chain to achieve customer demands, including tool management for current and future tooling

Develop tooling management plan that monitors tool life, tool builds, tooling qualifications and tooling purchase orders

Effectively control and maintain inventories on dependent demand items assuring availability as required by manufacturing and minimize the business unit's investment in excess inventories

Resolve customer service issues and coordinate the efforts of the production control, manufacturing, engineering, quality and the customer in assuring on‑time delivery of product

Act as the liaison between the business unit and the customer regarding schedule commitments. Represents the business unit in meetings with the customer both in‑house and on‑site

Develop and execute strategic initiatives to grow the sales of the Operation

Support outside sales activities and maintain extensive interaction with customers

Identify new product/process opportunities and develop pricing strategies to secure new business with maximum profit

Review all engineering changes and tool reworks with plant to maximize profit opportunity

Required Skills

Effective in communicating with all levels of the organization and proven leadership skills.

Demonstrated experience in developing customer and vendor relationships for the betterment of the business.

Demonstrated knowledge and experience in financial and quantitative analysis techniques and management accounting.

Exposure to and familiarity with APICS terminology and working procedures.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities and easily adapt to changing situations and priorities.

Strong oral and written communication skills including program management.

Desired Skills

Highly organized, self‑motivated, self‑starting individual who can work independently as well as work effectively in a collaborative team environment and customer focused.

Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects.

Investment casting knowledge and jet engine customer exposure is desirable.

Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.

Experience & Education

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or related field. MS or MBA degree is highly desirable.

A minimum of 5 years' experience in aerospace sales and manufacturing.

Demonstrated skills in communications, administration, sales, negotiations, and customer and executive presentations.
