We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Chronic RN to join our healthcare team in Atlanta, GA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in chronic disease management, patient care, and nursing best practices. This role requires someone who is committed to providing high-quality care and support to patients with chronic conditions.
What You’ll Do
All duties and responsibilities are performed in accordance with Fresenius Kidney Care policy, procedures, standards of nursing practice, state and federal regulations.
Perform essential functions under the direction of the Supervisor and with guidance from the Clinical Educator, Preceptor or in collaboration--------------------------------------------------------------------------- with other Registered Nurses.
Collect and analyze patient data before, during and after hemodialysis treatment, documentparametric in the medical record, and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
Provide education to patients and families.
Lead daily delivery of hemodialysis therapy.
Administer medications as prescribed.
Assist with emergency response measures.
Serve as a resource for the health care team, assist with staff training and orientation.
Ensure proper laboratory collection, processing and shipping procedures.
Update nursing assessment and plan of care with the Interdisciplinary Team.
Ensure patient awareness of transplant and treatment modality options.
Perform additional duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
Direct patient care involving heavy lifting, moving of patients and ambulation assistance.
Requires frequent, prolonged standing and ability to bend over.
May need to move machines and equipment up to 200 lbs. and lift up to 30 lbs. solutions.
Environment is a health المعرفة care facility with controlled temperature and moderate noise.
May be exposed to infectious and contagious materials.
Desk and computer work, interacting with patients, staff and physicians.
May require travel to training sites.
May perform essential functions at other locations with precursor demands.
Employees must take the Ishihara color blindness test; accommodations considered.
Supervision
Oversight of Patient Care Technicians/LPNs/LVNs/RNs as Team Leader or Nurse in Charge.
Successful completion of all FKCdia education and training requirements for new employees.
Minimum 9 months’ experience as an RN.
Minimum 3 months experience in chronic/acute hemodialysis as an RN.
Education and Licensure
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
Current state licensure.
Current or successful completion of CPR BLS Certification.

Experience and Required Skills
1 year of Nephrology Nursing experience in last two years as an RN.
Chronic hemodialysis experience required.
