We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Shipping Specialist to join our logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for the accurate preparation, documentation, and dispatching of outbound shipments. The ideal candidate has extensive experience navigating major carrier platforms and is an expert in domestic and international documentation, ensuring our products reach customers efficiently and on time.
Salary: $23 – $27 per hour
Shift: First
Work Hours: 8 AM – 4 PM
Education: High School
Key Responsibilities
Carrier Management:
Process daily outbound shipments using
FedEx Ship ,
UPS WorldShip , and other 3rd‑party logistics platforms.
Documentation:
Prepare and verify
Bills of Lading (BOL)
for LTL (Less Than Truckload) and FTL (Full Truckload) shipments.
International Shipping:
Handle global logistics by generating commercial invoices, packing lists, and necessary customs documentation via
World Shipping
portals.
Quality Control:
Inspect items for damage before packing, ensure correct quantities against picking tickets, and apply appropriate labeling/hazmat markings if required.
Coordination:
Communicate with freight forwarders and dispatchers to schedule pickups and track delayed shipments.
Inventory Tracking:
Update the internal ERP or Warehouse Management System (WMS) to ensure real‑time inventory accuracy.
Compliance:
Maintain knowledge of current shipping regulations and carrier‑specific requirements to minimize surcharges and delivery errors.
