Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

Create and maintain category strategies, contract plans, demand management plans, TCO models, and market intelligence for assigned PSLs—aligning to operational plans, business performance targets, and technical requirements

Lead RFx events (RFI/RFP/RFQ), market analyses, bid evaluations, and award recommendations; negotiate commercial terms, rates, SLAs, and KPIs.

Draft, negotiate, and maintain Master Service Agreements (MSAs), call offs, work orders, and commercial terms for service providers. Partner with Operations to develop high-quality, technical scopes of work, service level terms, and performance metrics

Develop initiatives to reduce total cost of third‑party services and materials in partnership with internal, technical stakeholders

Manage end‑to‑end elements of assigned PSLs, including source‑to‑contract (pre‑award and post‑award) and source‑to‑pay (in collaboration with procurement and finance teams). Maintain contract records, rate sheets, and pricing catalogs in the company’s contract management system; ensure document control and audit readiness.

Monitor contract compliance, pricing accuracy, and adherence to service delivery requirements; escalate deviations and drive corrective actions.

Travel up to 30% of time depending on location of successful candidate

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in a business, finance, or engineering discipline with 5+ years experience in Category Management, Contracting, or Strategic Sourcing within energy, oil & gas, or industrial services.

Hands‑on experience with RFx, commercial negotiations, and contract formulation and administration for services‑heavy categories (e.g., maintenance, operations, artificial lift, drilling, completions, well services, rentals, logistics).

Demonstrated analytical skills and proficiency with ERP and eProcurement platforms (e.g., SAP, Ariba, Coupa, Smart by GEP) and strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups); basic Power BI or similar dashboarding.

Demonstrated success in stakeholder management with field and HQ operations teams

Track record of delivering cost savings / TCO improvements, cycle‑time reduction, and supplier performance improvement

Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with HSE requirements, service quality metrics, and contractor management in operational settings.

Experience with Chevron’s source‑to‑pay system, Smart by GEP
