Are you an HR Manager or Director who is responsible for making decisions and looking to take complete ownership of HR operations within a smaller company? This is an incredible opportunity for someone who wants to be a strategic player in HR and spearhead decisions as the sole HR professional within the company.
The company specializes in power conversion, designing and manufacturing high-performance products for the marine and aviation sectors, including military and defense applications.
In this role, you will oversee all aspects of the company's human resources functions, including policy development and implementation, employee onboarding and offboarding, performance management, payroll and benefits administration, employee retention initiatives, and coordination of company events.
The Role:
Manage hiring, terminations, and employment status changes
Ensure compliance with employment, payroll, and benefits regulations
Administer and document disciplinary or corrective actions
Process bi-weekly and semi-monthly payroll, including taxes and 401(k)
Plan and coordinate company events and employee engagement activities
Prepare and file annual W-2 forms
The Person:
Previous decision-making experience
Strong knowledge of a broad range of HR functions
Experience working manually when no HRIS/digital systems are available
Up-to-date understanding of labor laws and regulations
Experienced in conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and workplace investigations
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage priorities efficiently
Documented US citizenship or legal permanent resident status
