The Role Senior Associate, Institutional Sales

The Senior Associate, Institutional Sales will play a key role in driving Gemini’s institutional growth by originating, developing, and managing relationships with institutional clients. This role is focused on business development, go-to-market execution, and long-term relationship management across a broad range of institutional counterparties.

In‑person twice a week at our New York City, NY office (hybrid work approach).

Responsibilities

Business Development & Prospecting

Prospect, originate, and generate new diesenic business for Gemini across priority market segments.

Build and manage a robust pipeline through proactive outreach, referrals, and strategic networking.

Consistently meet or exceed sales and revenue targets.

Go-to-Market Strategy

Partner closely with Institutional and senior leadership to identify, refine, and execute key go-to-market strategies.

Identify and originate high‑potential targets aligned with Gemini’s product capabilities and growth priorities.

Provide market feedback to inform product development, positioning, and institutional strategy.

Relationship Management

Leverage industry reputation and market expertise to establish trusted relationships with institutional decision‑makers and investors.

Own end‑to‑end relationship management for both existing and newly acquired institutional clients.

Act as a

strategic advisor to clients, aligning Gemini’s solutions with their trading, custody, liquidity, and operational needs.

Client Solutions & Collaboration

Develop a solution‑oriented, consultative sales approach tailored to institutional client requirements.

Work cross‑functionally with product, trading, operations, compliance, and global teams to deliver differentiated client outcomes.

Think creatively and “out of the box” to solve complex client challenges and unlock new opportunities.

Minimum Qualifications

3‑5+ years of relevant experience in institutional sales, business development, or a related client‑facing role.

Demonstrated track record of meeting and exceeding sales and revenue goals.

Strong prospecting, lead generation, and conversion capabilities. Ability to engage and influence decision‑makers across internal teams and senior leadership levels externally.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong interpersonal and presentation abilities.

Proficiency in client relationship management best practices, negotiation, and deal execution.

Determination and enthusiasm for engaging with the crypto customer base and broader digital asset ecosystem.

Self‑starter with a hands‑on mindset, strong work ethic, and passion for learning new technologies and products.

Preferred Qualifications

Established network across trading firms, crypto asset managers, hedge funds, family offices, VCs, foundations, and intermediaries in Web3 and crypto.

Strong interest in and passion for crypto markets, OTC and exchange trading.

Experience operating in a startup or high‑growth environment.

Salary:

Base salary is $85,000 in NY, CA, and WA. Eligible for competitive bonus commission plan, including direct commission payouts based on revenue. Base salary excludes equity package. Compensation considers skill set, experience, job scope, and market data.

Work approach:

In the United States, we offer a hybrid work approach at our hub offices, balancing in‑person collaboration with remote flexibility. Employees who do not live near a hub are part of the remote workforce.P>
