What We're Looking For
Barge is seeking a CEI Senior Inspector to perform complex technical assignments including inspection of roadway and bridge construction activities; oversight of contractor daily operations; supervision and support of inspection staff; performing materials sampling and verification testing; plans reading and specification interpretation; field surveying and construction engineering computations. Monitor construction progress to ensure compliance with contract documents, also directs and assigns specific tasks to team members as necessary throughout all phases of the construction project.
Responsibilities
Verification of field surveying and project layout
Perform engineering computations
Inspect construction work
Conduct field tests
Prepare and submit Daily Work Reports
Verification of work completed and accurate use of pay items
Assist management staff with progress estimates and final pay estimates
Coordinate and manage lower-level inspectors
Education & Experience Qualifications
A high school diploma or equivalent
4 years of road and bridge construction engineering inspection experience
FDOT Advanced Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) or can be obtained within 3 months of hire date
Ideal candidate shall possess the following Qualifications/Certifications
CTQP Concrete Field Inspector Level 1 and 2
CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level 1 and 2
CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level 1 and 2
CTQP Pile Driving Inspection
CTQP Final Estimates Level 1
Nuclear Radiation Safety
FDOT Intermediate MOT
Florida Stormwater, Erosion, and Sediment Control Certification
(Candidates that possess some, but not all, of the above are eligible for employment consideration provided said certifications can be obtained within six months)
