Base salary: $50,320 – $72,350 per year.
Responsibilities
Utilize and expand drafting skills in a multi‑disciplined team environment, collaborating with designers and engineers to prepare design drawings.
Apply computer‑aided drafting skills and receive hands‑on training in 3D design software such as AutoCAD 3D and/or MicroStation, plus Sargent & Lundy’s proprietary design databases.
Create master sketches to scale, showing the relationship of proposed installations to existing facilities and detailing exact specifications and dimensions.

Assist experienced designers during client site walk‑downs to gather information for design projects.
Interface with vendors and construction contractors, explaining drawings to facilitate design adjustments.
Qualifications
Associate’s Degree in Drafting or a high‑school diploma with equivalent technical design experience.
Advanced drafting experience using AutoCAD or MicroStation.
Ability to visualize parts in 3D without the aid of a computer.
Ability to multi‑task across multiple projects.
Valued But Not Required Skills
Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles used in producing technical plans, drawings, and models.
Understanding of engineering science and technology, with the ability to relate equipment to technical designs.
