Description Our client, a manufacturing companyGanz in Billerica, MA, is seeking an Associate Mechanical Engineer I to support sustaining engineering efforts. This role focuses on creating and maintaining BOMs and drawing packages, updating existing designs, and supporting engineering documentation. The ideal candidate is an early-career or entry‑level engineer who is eager to start their career with a great company. Success in this role requires strong 3D CAD skills, clear communication, and strong organizational skills to thrive in a fast‑paced environment. Responsibilities
Support sustaining engineering activities for manufactured medical equipment
Update existing designs for size, options, and customer‑specific configurations
Create and maintain drawings, BOMs, and complete drawing packages
Build and manage 3D CAD models while applying standards and revision control
Prepare assembly work instructions and update product manuals
Follow the Engineering Change Order (ECO) process for design updates
Partner with manufacturing and vendors from prototype through production
Support design reviews, capture action items, and update documentation
Execute basic verification testing and document results
Troubleshoot issues in collaboration with engineering, service, and purchasing teams
Qualifications
Associate’s degree in Engineering or a related field is required
0–4 years of mechanical engineering experience is required
Familiarity with drafting, drawing, and document control is required
Proficiency with 3D CAD software is required
Ability to work 100% on‑site in Billerica, MA, is required
