Job Summary The Fleet Specialist - Vehicle is responsible for the day-to-day activities pertaining to the organization and maintenance of all Texas First/HIR vehicles.
Essential Functions
Models, promotes, reinforces, and rewards the consistent use of HOLT’s Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools, models, and processes to ensure alignment with our Vision, Values, and Mission
Assists in authorizing repair and maintenance of fleet vehicles and components
Monitors vehicle warranties and warranty coverage for repairs
Monitors when vehicles go in for repairs and their progress through completion
Monitors repair report and spend of repairs
Runs daily, monthly, and quarterly reports directly for the VP and/or Supervisor of Texas First Rentals
Communicates and works closely with Vehicle Managers and Supervisors keeping them abreast of progress and completion of repairs
Communicates and works closely with repair vendors on the progress and completion of repairs to Texas First/HIR vehicles
Ensures preventive maintenance and safety inspections have been performed
Orders and Track DOT Permits for Texas First and Holt Industrial Rentals
Pays Rental Equipment Tolls via Company P-Card and bills back to Rental Customers
Provides feedback and updates to all internal customers on maintenance of vehicles
Provides feedback and suggestions for Vehicle Replacement
Influences effective and consistent productivity and teamwork to ensure the delivery of Legendary Customer Service (LCS)
Works safely at all times and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards
Performs other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong technical aptitude and understanding of Auto and Commercial Vehicles
Strong analytical skills for analysis and reporting of financial data
Expert knowledge of Excel
Strong knowledge of MS Office applications including Word, Project, and PowerPoint - Excellent group presentation skills
Intermediate MS Office (Word and PowerPoint)
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Interpersonal skills sufficient to engage with vendors, own staff, and corporate executives to exchange information, influence and persuade
Excellent time management, multi-tasking, planning and organizational skills
Ability to perform detailed work
Ability to work independently and within a team
Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences
Ability to perform mathematical computations such as percentages, fractions, addition, subtraction, multiplication and division quickly and accurately
Education and Experience
High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, or related field equivalent preferred
More than one year of work-related skill, knowledge or experience required
Supervisory Responsibilities

Travel
Up to 25% and overnight travel may be expected
Valid driver’s license
Physical Requirements
This position involves extended periods in a stationary position; additionally, occasional movement inside the office to access office machinery, file cabinets, etc.
This role frequently communicates with others, must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
Routinely reacts to visual, auditory, and other signals, including alarms and instructions, and is required to visually inspect work
Safety training required; PPE required outside of office/parking lot area
This job is generally performed in a professional office environment
Occasionally works outdoors and may be exposed to weather extremes conditions that include inclement weather, heat, cold, and humidity
Frequently works at a fast pace with unscheduled interruptions
