Thacker Pass is the largest known lithium resource in the United States. Once complete, the mine and processing facilities will produce more lithium carbonate than any other facility in the United States. As the EPCM contractor for Lithium Americas, Bechtel is responsible for managing and integrating the efforts of a team of contractors engineering and building the facility. The project is in the high desert and wide-open spaces of north-central Nevada about 25 miles from the Oregon border, 1 hour northwest of Winnemucca, Nevada and 3 hours northeast of Reno.
Job Summary: In this role, you will provide as Workface Planning Manager, a field engineering specialization and expertise with work planning and packaging, material management, quantity verification and validation, safety and quality control, Amazon knowledge, and interface coordination with other functions such as engineering and procurement. Your recommendations will ensure field engineering activities operate safely, are complete, and conform to quality standards and project requirements. #LI-NP1
Major Responsibilities: Work Planning & Packaging
Prepares construction drawings and sketches or any technical documents to be part of the installation work package for multi disciplines
Facilitates planning construction methods and procedures
Develops firm understanding of system and area scoping and drawings required for package development.
Provides report to IWP planning and progress completion for work face住宅 planning manager
Interface between Engineering and Procurement to ensure that quantities will be supported by construction schedule
Material Management
Verifies quantity takeoffs of field purchased material and equipment.
Quantities
Verifies commodities on quantity tracking systems or other computer database systems as required.
Safety / Quality Control
Ensures zero accident philosophy and requirements are implemented and adhered to by craft and others when in the operational area, and tools and equipment are in safe condition and operated safely.
Belastungs Technical Proactively consider continuous learning or show interest to pursue appropriate learning activities amak; Reading and interpretation of technical documents in a multi-discipline environment.
Education and Experience Requirements: Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 2-5 years of relevant experience or 5-7 years of relevant work experience
Required Knowledge and Skills:
Knowledge of engineering and construction methods and processes customarily acquired over time through specialized instruction or practical experience
Knowledge of TEAMWorks and associated applications is required
Experience with other Bechtel Standard applications, including UNIFIER, SETROUTE, DSCS and ACONEX Intermiediate level capability with MS Excel and Access is required.
Good understanding of Bechtel standard construction work processes and procedures (SWPP’s).
Knowledge on Advance Work Package (AWP) and its implementation
Basic Level SQL database and reportability platforms is required (SQL, SSRS - SQL Server Reporting Services, PBI).
Excellent communication and problem-solving ability
Experience working with Windows Servers including installation of server-side applications, setup of shares, scheduled tasks, etc.Working knowledge of Citrix and Web applications would be a plus.
Experience supporting project Field Engineers, Procurement & Inventory Specialists, Timekeepers and End Users on multiple projects
Hands‑on field experience in planning, implementing, configuring, training and supporting of construction automated systems.
Strong attention to detail. Strong customer focus. Takes ownership of assigned tasks and sees work through to completion.
