• Enforce laws to ensure the security of our nation's borders
• Facilitate legitimate trade by inspecting goods and enforcing regulations <li-Conduct inspections of individuals & conveyances
• Determine admissibility for entry into the United States <li-Prevent illegal entry of prohibited goods & smuggling
