Senior Specialist, Trade Compliance
Location: Arlington, Virginia (fully onsite)
Relocation Assistance Available.
Salary: $84,000 to $156,000
Job Schedule: 9/80 – employees work 9 out of every 14 days, totaling 80 hours with every other Friday off.

Assist the Empowered Official (EO) to develop, implement, and manage export/import compliance and controls, including responsibilities defined in Corporate Policy.
Work effectively with a cross‑functional team to maintain compliance with U.S. trade regulations while fostering international growth.
Essential Functions
Determine U.S. Government requirements for daily export/import activities to support company objectives.
Process shipment paperwork using EASE for all hardware exports.
Submit initial drafts and final license, agreement, and general correspondence to GTG (Global Trade Group) for review.
Ensure compliance with approved license applications, agreements, and permits/licenses.
Notify legal counsel and Segment Trade Director of potential violations, providing technical assistance for investigations and disclosures.
Support investigations and provide assistance to address potential or actual violations.
Develop and conduct export/import and ITAR training tailored to company products and services.
Review activities and direct actions to specific departments or individuals for potential inaccurate transactions; conduct self‑audits as required.
Coordinate with shipping carriers and brokers on export/import clearances.
Ensure controlled technical data is approved for export via electronic means under U.S. laws.
Verify all commercial exports have official Jurisdiction Classification completed by the segment Technical Specialist.
Review visitor requests to determine necessary actions for foreign nationals or other U.S. persons.
Review all employee foreign travel, business, or personal travel.
Attend at least one internal and one external Export/Import & Compliance Training Seminar per GTG policy.
Attend the Annual International Licensing Conference to remain current with policies and regulations.
Complete GTG Practitioner training suite within 6 months of employment.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree with 9 years prior experience, Graduate Degree with 7 years prior experience, or 13 years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
Minimum 1 year experience with U.S. trade regulations (ITAR, EAR) in a professional role.
Preferred Additional Skills
Prior Empowered Official (EO) experience.
Ability to learn different product groups and their related capabilities for the specific location.
Ability to coordinate simultaneous activities and prioritize multiple tasks with good judgment while working independently.
Effective interpersonal and communication skills at all levels.
High level of integrity and discretion.
Proficiency with computer software applications such as Adobe, web‑based applications, MS Excel, and MS Word.
Experience with Team Center, EASE, or quick learning of systems.
