Job Summary The Account Manager serves as the primary day‑to‑day contact for all service needs of both external and internal customers. The role requires expertise in client services, insurance processing, and customer experience delivery, coordinating team service deliverables and managing accurate, effective responses.
Responsibilities
Manages overall team operations, client coordination, and customer service delivery, including coaching and prioritizing work with Account Associates and reviewing workload.
Leverages knowledge and expertise in client services, insurance processing, and customer experience to develop, coach,ені and assist Account Associates and other team members, and assists Producers and Account Executives with client service commitments.
Ensures service standards are met, identifies trends, and implements process improvements.
Acts as the day‑to‑day customer contact, troubleshooting issues and helping clients make well‑informed decisions, while managing new business and renewal processes and overseeing day‑to‑day client changes.
Accountable for client service delivery through high client retention, rounding of accounts, referrals, and uneventful renewals.
Ensures pre‑renewal information is sent within service standards and follows up with clients for timely responses, including market quotes.
Manages renewal marketing plans with Producers and Service Teams, ensuring the plan is executed and that an accurate proposal/deDeliverable is created for client renewal meetings.
Reviews quotes for accuracy against supporting documents and negotiates additional coverage or price with underwriters.
Quickly and accurately completes renewal bind processes and checklists, ensuring all aspects are completed and documented within the file.
Maintains accurate file documentation to minimize E&O exposure and to enable rapid responses to client requests.
Requirements
Current Insurance License in Property & Casualty for the state in which your agency office is located.
Ability to work toward professional designation.
Comfortable working in an electronic environment with strong computer skills.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Excellent people skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Education and Experience
High school diploma (college preferred).
Bachelor’s Degree in a Business or related field or equivalent relevant experience.
Minimum of 5 years of experience within the insurance industry or business‑related experience.
