Mechanical Fitter Bristol Full Time Permanent Dayshift Key Responsibilities
Mechanical Fitter The role is to ensure assemblies are manufactured correctly to specification and on time.
To fit and assemble machine parts accurately to engineering drawing.
To accurately fit sub assembly parts using engineering drawings.
Use hand tools and power tools to fit and assemble components.
Use engineering measuring equipment where necessary to ensure components are to specification.
Strip / prepare machines
Install machines at customer sites as necessary
Ensure safe systems of work are always adhered to and ensure any issues are reported immediately to management.
Ensure all tools and equipment are maintained and stored safely.
Qualifications & Requirements
Mechanical Apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 in relevant discipline
Proven ability to read and understand technical engineering drawings
Pneumatics and Hydraulic knowledge advantageous.
Excellent communication skills
