The Home Health Marketer is a seasoned business development professional responsible for driving sustained census growth through advanced relationship management, strategic market development, and mentorship of junior marketers. This role requires deep knowledge of the Texas healthcare landscape, Medicare hospice regulations, and referral dynamics across hospitals, physician practices, SNFs, ALFs, and home health agencies.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Market Development
Develop and execute a territory growth strategy tailored to Texas healthcare markets Build, maintain, and expand high-value referral relationships across hospitals, IDNs, physician groups, SNFs, ALFs, LTACs, and home health agencies Identify underperforming referral sources and implement targeted growth plans Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and referral patterns specific to Texas regions Referral & Admissions Leadership
Serve as a senior liaison for complex referrals, physician engagement, and high-acuity cases Collaborate closely with admissions, intake, and clinical leadership to improve referral conversion rates Participate in discharge planning meetings and care conferences when needed Mentor, coach, and support junior marketers or community liaisons Assist leadership with onboarding, training, clarification, and field coaching Provide feedback on territory performance and best practices Reporting & Performance Management
Track and report referrals, admissions, and census trends using CRM systems Provide leadership with actionable market intelligence and growth recommendations Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly census and revenue targets Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Marketing, Nursing, Social Work, or related field (preferred) 5+ years
of Home Health or post-acute healthcare marketing experience (Texas experience strongly preferred) Demonstrated success driving census growth in competitive Texas markets Deep understanding of Medicare hospice eligibility, referral sources, and compliance requirements Strong physician-facing and executive-level relationship skills Excellent presentation, negotiation, and strategic planning abilities Proficient with CRM platforms and Microsoft Office Valid Texas driver’s license and reliable transportation Preferred Experience
Established referral relationships within Texas hospitals, SNFs, ALFs, and physician groups Experience working with multi-branch or multi-region hospice organizations in Texas Prior leadership or mentorship experience Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Monthly and quarterly admission targets Referral-to-admission conversion rate Growth and retention of top referral accounts Territory market share growth CRM accuracy and compliance documentation Seniority level
