Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Mortgage Loan Closer to join our mortgage operations team. This role is responsible for reviewing loan documentation, coordinating with internal and external parties, and ensuring timely and accurate disbursement of loan funds. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and committed to providing exceptional service throughout the loan funding process.

Key Responsibilities

Documentation Review: Review and verify all loan documentation for accuracy and completeness.

Team Coordination: Coordinate with underwriters, loan officers, and closing agents to ensure timely and accurate loan funding. Coordinate with title, lender and client to set times to close and fund loans.

Prepare Funds: Prepare and disburse loan funds in accordance with company policies and regulatory guidelines.

Conditional Approval: Ensure all conditions of the loan approval are met before funding.

Organize Email Communications: Maintain professional and efficient email correspondence and tracking.

Documentation: Maintain accurate records of funded loans and update internal systems accordingly.

Client Discrepancies Handle any discrepancies or issues that arise during the funding process. Ensure all client questions and numbers are answered and completed prior to loan closing date

Verification: Review and verify all loan information to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Process Follow-Through: Complete all required steps to ensure loans schedule and close on time within each lender portal

Qualifications

Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in the mortgage industry

High school diploma required, associate degree in Business, Finance, or related field preferred

Strong understanding of mortgage documentation and loan processing procedures

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable navigating lender portals

Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Ability to troubleshoot issues and resolve discrepancies efficiently

Strong organizational and time management skills
