Job Description - Paintless Dent Repair (MER0003UJ0)
Paintless Dent Repair Group : Mercedes-Benz Group AG
Overview Represents a technical expert with depth of knowledge within a specialized area. Perform Paintless Dent repairs using PDR techniques and various tools on small to midsize dent damage on the exterior of vehicles to meet company standards.
Responsibilities
File, grind, sand and smooth filled or repaired surfaces, using power tools and hand tools.
Pound out small dents with a hammer, pick hammer, or punch.
Identify the most appropriate option/solution to adjust or improve existing approaches.
Plan work to be performed.
Position dolly blocks against surfaces of dented areas and beat opposite surfaces to remove dents, using hammers, metal.
Complete and ensure availability of appropriate documentation related to the production process.
Perform quality and visual inspection.
May modify existing processes, methods, and approaches.
May be required to interpret or clarify technical information to aid understanding.
Provide guidance, coaching, and direction to more junior team members on the job.
Participate in the Continuous Improvement Program.
Participate in regularly scheduled team meetings.
Will perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications вже
High School Diploma or GED required.
Required: 4+ years relevant experience; OR Relevant certificate + 3 years relevant experience; OR Relevant.
Preferred: 5+ years relevant experience; OR Relevant certificate + 4 years relevant experience; OR Relevant assoc. degree + 2 years relevant experience.
Able to perform the essential functions of the job.
Knowledge & Skills
Knowledge of metal finishing techniques: examine and feel the surface of metal to detect defects, such as dents, scratches, or breaks in metal.
Experience with sheet metal and automotive body repair and rework.
Experience in a manufacturing setting.
Spot welding experience is a plus.
I-CAR training is a plus.
