The Sustainability and Social Impact Coordinator provides support to the Sustainability and Social Impact Director in advancing the company’s environmental and social initiatives. This role focuses on coordination, data collection, communications, and community engagement tasks that help drive progress toward company-wide sustainability goals.

Essential Job Functions/Tasks

Assists with gathering data and drafting written content for the annual Sustainability/Impact Report.

Supports the Marketing team with sustainability-related content for the company website, intranet, newsletters, and social media.

Helps maintain sustainability information on internal SharePoint sites.

Assists with collecting and organizing sustainability goal data in Salesforce Net Zero Cloud and other platforms.

Compiles basic data for internal reporting and assists with simple data visualizations in Power BI.

Provides coordination and logistics support for sustainability projects, including Hunter Agriculture initiatives and employee engagement activities (e.g., Hunter Helping Others programs).

Assists in tracking progress of sustainability projects and prepares updates for internal stakeholders.

Supports coordination of community outreach activities, such as facility tours, volunteer events, and local business/nonprofit partnerships.

Helps manage donation requests and employee volunteer activities under the direction of the Sustainability and Social Impact Director.

Assists with collecting and tracking data related to energy use, waste reduction, and resource efficiency initiatives.

Provides support in implementing small-scale sustainability improvement projects

Education/Training Required and Preferred

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Environmental Studies, or related field or a combination of education and relevant work experience.

Experience Required and Preferred

Minimum of 1 year experience in Corporate Sustainability.

What You Bring

Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams); familiarity with SharePoint a plus.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work collaboratively across departments and adapt to changing priorities.

Ability to work under minimal supervision, to self-initiate activities, manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Knowledge of environmental foot printing, systems thinking, and the triple bottom line; lifecycle analysis and sustainable supply chain planning a plus.

Occasional travel to Hunter’s headquarters in San Marcos, CA along with sustainability educational conference

The hourly rate for this opportunity ranges from $23.00 to $29.00
