Position Title Relationship Banker I

Exempt Status Non-Exempt, Full Time

Reports to Branch Manager

Location Irving, TX

Pay $17.75 +/ depending on banking experience

Provides teller services including processing transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, and cashing checks. Processes new accounts and cross-sells other need-based products and services. Utilizes knowledge and judgment to ensure the validity of transactions processed, accounts opened and refers questionable items to an Assistant Branch Manager or above. Maintain a professional appearance in dress and behavior.

Essential Functions Customer Service

Performs Southside Bank’s customer service standards with each customer interaction.

Consistently performs with accuracy and efficiency to build customer confidence and trust.

Completes customer thank‑you calls and follows up on problem resolution as directed by management.

Meets or exceeds all operational quantitative sale goals as determined by retail management, including balancing and attendance.

Knows the bank's products and services and can recall key benefits; sees each transaction as a cross‑sell opportunity.

Identifies and responds to customer needs by listening and clarifying; directs customers to other Southside departments when appropriate.

Maintains the security and confidentiality of all sensitive banking information. \ دقیقه

Recommends and refers customers to other Southside departments when needed.

Operational Excellence

Understands and abides by Southside Bank's policies and procedures.

Follows established procedures to prevent fraudulent activity; verifies identification and reviews account history.

Follows compliance procedures and verifies accurate reporting of transactions such as CTRs, SARs, monetary logs, and Reg CC holds.

Maintains cash drawer limits and meets daily balancing standards, working with Teller Over/Short Policies.

Reports all cash outages to management.

Accepts and verifies customer deposits.

Processes cash checks within authorized limits and seeks supervisor approval for over-limit transactions.

Provides special services such as selling official checks, processing cash advances and loan payments, completing stop payments, handling cardholder claims, redeeming savings bonds, notary services, and assisting with account reconciliation.

Communicates disclosure requirements and regulations to customers per guidelines.

Engages in professional development through training, seminars, and professional associations.

Complies with audit policies and procedures relevant to this position.

Remains compliant with all applicable laws,lfm Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), and anti‑money‑laundering laws, and adheres to the Bank’s Information Security Program.

Performs collection item processing, such as dealer drafts and foreign items.

Team Relations

Participates in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.

Required Education and Experience

High School graduate or equivalent.

Minimum six‑month cash‑handling or customer‑service experience preferred.

Proficient typing, 10‑key calculator, and data entry skills.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Completion of Southside Bank instructor‑led classes within the first six months:

Must transport 25 pounds of coin 5–25 feet from the workstation toWr vault seven times a day, depending on coin volume.

For motor branches—transport cash from the work booth inside the branch.

For in‑store branches—transport cash from the coin machine to a bag moved to the vault.

Working Conditions & Environment

Well‑lighted, heated and/or air‑conditioned indoor office setting with adequate ventilation.

Moderate noise (e.g., business office with computers and printers, light traffic).
