Base Pay Range
$15.00/hr - $17.00/hr
Summary This position is primarily responsible for handling incoming calls in a busy call center environment while providing efficient professional customer service. A Customer Service Sales Representative (CSSR) responds to telephone inquiries in a prompt, courteous manner, creating a memorable experience by anticipating customer needs while gathering information, identifying travel needs, making changes to existing reservations, and providing consultation on travel-related issues to determine an appropriate action for customer satisfaction. Off-phone customer service may include written communication such as chat and/or email correspondence.
Minimum Requirements
Combination of education and experience will be considered.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. as defined by the Immigration Act of 1986.
Must pass a Criminal Background Check.
High School Diploma or GED.
Minimum six (6) months of customer service experience.
Must have ability to work any hours and any days, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to maintain the highest level of customer service (90% QA) while demonstrating a friendly and genuine demeanor and the ability to listen and document accurately.
Basic computer skills and the ability to type 30 words per minute or faster.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Valid/unexpired passport book: No.
Valid/unexpired driver's license: No.
Preferred Requirements
Spanish bilingual a plus but not required.
Experience in a busy call center or airline/travel environment preferred but not required.
Job Duties
Assist customers with providing information, making new travel itineraries, and handling changes and cancellations of air, hotel, and ancillary travel plans.
Resolve customer problems and/or complaints to ensure customer satisfaction.
Maximize revenue by identifying customer travel needs and offering ancillary options, such as seats, bags, auto, or hotel.
Maintain the highest level of customer service (90% QA) while demonstrating a friendly and genuine demeanor, and the ability to listen and document accordingly.
Follow process and procedures as established by the business.
Receive and take direction.
Perform other duties as assigned, including email or web chat correspondence when approved by management.
Physical Requirements The role requires standing, sitting, talking, hearing, seeing, reaching, stooping, kneeling, and using hands and fingers to operate a computer, keyboard, printer, and phone. May be required to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 20 lbs. May be required to work various shifts/days in a 24‑hour situation. Regular attendance is required. Exposure to moderate noise, temperature and light fluctuations. Ability to work in a confined area and sit at a computer terminal for extended periods. Some travel may be required.
