Community Engagement & Communications Manager
Full‑time, exempt – based in Montgomery, TX at Two Step Farm, Cohere Life, Inc.
The Community Engagement & Communications Manager supports and delivers core events, communications, and engagement initiatives that shape daily Community Life at Two Step Farm. The Manager co‑creates events and a variety of community‑building initiatives and leads marketing and communications efforts, shaping how the community connects, engages, and experiences life.
Scope
Collaborate with the Director of Community Engagement, Cohere colleagues, and stakeholders to develop and implement a dynamic multi‑faceted community engagement strategy that reflects the Two Step Farm brand, vision, and culture.
Lead all marketing and communication efforts, including message points, promotional and educational campaigns, e‑newsletter content, and other tools for residents and key stakeholders.
Plan and execute a caseload of resident events (annual events, celebrations, social activities, philanthropy, community service, recreation, resident clubs).
Manage event budgets, ensuring alignment with Cohere and Two Step Farm financial strategies.
Identify, vet and secure vendor partners, negotiate pricing and contracts, and secure necessary insurance and waivers.
Collaborate with residents, partners, private agencies, and non‑profits to develop programs offering unique opportunities for residents and stakeholders.
Deliver a robust resident welcome program to connect genuinely with every new homeowner.
Ensure Two Step Farm and Cohere Community Life brand standards are consistently applied across all programs and promotional material.
Acquire necessary permits, licensing, and related documents to ensure compliance with city, county, and state regulations.
Analyze resident surveys and data to inform programming solutions aligned with community needs and interests.
Participate in Cohere Councils of Excellence and pursue ongoing professional development.
Collaborate with broader Community Life teams to share best practices and enhance efficiencies.
Attend after‑hours events and meetings as required.

Experience | Minimum Requirements
College degree in Marketing/Communications, Hospitality Management, or a related field; bachelor’s degree or higher preferred.
3–5 years of progressive leadership experience with supervision of individuals or teams.
1–3 years of marketing/communications experience, including design of promotional/marketing material.
3–5 years of progressively responsible event planning experience in hospitality, event management, recreation management, non‑profit management, or related fields.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteSalvar, social media channels, Mailchimp, WordPress; familiarity with HTML, Canva, Adobe design suite, and photo editing software strongly preferred.
Experience in a master‑planned or residential community highly desirable.
Experience with contract and vendor negotiation highly desirable.
Experience with budgeting and sponsorship partnerships highly desirable.
Background in educational, non‑profit, and/or communications/marketing roles highly desired.
Work Environment
Collaborative, in‑person Kr environment; positions is based in Montgomery, TX (77316) and requires on‑site work.
Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Outdoor work in varied weather; standing for extended periods.
Own transportation needed for off‑site programs and meetings; valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record required.
Frequent lifting of up to 30 pounds.
