Senior Equity Derivatives Sales Trader

Tradition America Holdings, Inc. seeks a senior equity derivatives sales trader in New York, NY, to develop analytical tools to address issues such as portfolio construction or optimization, performance measurement, attribution, profit and loss measurement, and pricing models. Interpret results of financial analysis procedures. Develop liquidity solutions for European clients based on their U.S. hedging needs, using single stock, ETF and index options as well as more complex exotic structures. Utilize European index and single stock options to develop liquidity solutions for U.S. clients based on their European hedging needs. Utilize deep understanding of single stock, ETF, and index options, as well as complex exotic structures to build the bridge between European and U.S. clients and products. Leverage specialized knowledge of European banks and hedge funds to bring an additional revenue to the company. Research new financial products and analytics to determine their usefulness. Identify, track, and maintain metrics for trading system operations. Develop pricing tools critical to the company's efforts to grow this market segment and add value to the clients, for example, automated Mid-day Trade Recap tool divided by sector and Vega size and End of Day ETF Tape Report with auto calculation of the Vega on each trade. Produce written summary reports of financial research results. Maintain and modify financial analytic models in use. Apply independent models and tools to help verify results of analytical systems. Collaborate with the Index Equity derivatives pod, which is composed of experienced brokers. Use research methods and financial instruments to identify the best positioned U.S. counterparties to recycle U.S. risks from European banks and hedge funds. Present the nature of U.S. risks that the European counterparties are trying to hedge and propose ways to transfer that risk to both the U.S. and Canada. Set the right commissions to be charged with these activities. Requirements: Masters degree, or foreign equivalent, in finance, statistics, economics, or a related field, and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation in the financial services industry. Two (2) years of experience must include: designing and implementing custom liquidity solutions for European and U.S. clients, using single stock, ETF and index options, and meeting their hedging needs on exotic derivatives including autocallables, CLNs, and mini-futures; building and optimizing automated pricing tools including Mid-day Trade Recap, End-of-day ETF/Single stocks tape, and Revcon to provide clients with actionable market insights and support growth in the derivatives market; enabling seamless transfer of hedging positions and risk mitigation strategies between European banks, hedge funds, and U.S. counterparties; collaborating with experienced Index Equity derivatives brokers to develop and execute tailored trading strategies, ensuring optimal pricing and risk management solutions; developing and utilizing advanced financial models to analyze market flows and identify riskless investment opportunities, optimizing trading strategies, and improving liquidity for clients in complex structured products; and identifying unique trading opportunities and presenting effective risk management solutions to U.S. market participants and European counterparties, contributing to the expansion of revenue streams and deepening client relationship.
