As a Field Sales Representative, you’ll be the face of Restek—trusted by scientists worldwide for our top-tier chromatography solutions. Your mission? Drive growth, deepen customer partnerships, and bring our industry-leading products to life for labs across your region.
This is a high-impact role for someone who combines technical understanding with a natural drive to connect, influence, and sell.
What You’ll Do:
Sell with Purpose: Represent Restek’s full suite of chromatography consumables—GC & LC columns, accessories, reference standards, and sample prep products.
Own Your Territory: Develop and execute a strategic sales plan designed to grow revenue and strengthen relationships in key vertical markets.
Deliver Solutions: Act as a technical resource for customers—answer questions, troubleshoot issues, and support product evaluations.
Build Relationships that Last: Establish trust with customers through consultative selling and exceptional service.
Stay Organized & Agile: Leverage CRM and sales tools to manage your pipeline, prioritize leads, and document interactions effectively.
Collaborate for Success: Work cross-functionally with Customer Care, Product Marketing, and Business Development to deliver seamless customer experience.
Travel: Expect up to 50% travel—mostly within your territory to connect with customers face-to-face and uncover new opportunities.
What You’ll Bring:
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in business, chemistry, or related science.
3+ years of hands‑on experience in Liquid or Gas Chromatography.
Proven customer‑facing experience (sales, tech support, or project management).
Previous experience selling or supporting chromatography consumables strongly preferred.
Sales/consultative training (e.g. SPIN Selling) a plus.
Skills & Attributes:
Self‑starter with a results‑driven mindset.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
Financially savvy with the ability to craft and manage a business plan.
Technically proficient with CRM systems, spreadsheets, and other business tools.
This position will require the successful completion of a standard background check in accordance with Restek policy. Employment with Restek will require successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen.
