Sales Representative (Home Energy Specialist)
Position Type: Full-time, sales exempt.
Compensation: Commission-based role empêcher average earnings of $95,000 annually; top earners can exceed $250,000. Paid time off and holidays are paid at $20 per hour.

Job Summary The Home Energy Specialist helps homeowners become more energy efficient by performing Energize CT assessments. This role models homes in energy efficiency software, diagnoses energy usage problems, and recommends energy‑saving measures such as insulation, LED lighting, and high‑efficiency HVAC systems.
Essential Functions
Energy Assessment
Conduct Energize CT home energy assessments.
Utilize energy‑efficiency software to model homes and generate comprehensive energy savings reports.
Recommend energyвай‑saving measures such as insulation, LED lighting, and high‑efficiency HVAC systems.
Sales and Customer Service
Initiate sale and secure service contracts.
Provide exceptional customer service and educate homeowners on energy‑efficiency benefits.
Use effective sales techniques to ensure customer satisfaction and generate referrals.
Organize and guide the customer through paperwork processes.
Installation and Documentation
Install energy‑saving products during assessments.
Complete all necessary paperwork accurately and promptly.
Professional Development and Collaboration
Continually improve product knowledge and sales skills through ongoing learning.
Collaborate with internal divisions to cross‑sell products and services.
Perform additional tasks as required.
Education & Experience
Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel required.
BPI certification is a plus but not required.
Previous customer service and sales experience preferred.
Energize CT program knowledge is a plus.
Basic computer skills required.
Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment with strong organization and מצ you time management skills.
Must work independently as the role is primarily field‑based.
Excellent verbal, written, and listening skills.
Outgoing, flexible, and personable demeanor.
Requires proficiency in reading, writing, and communicating in English.
Work Environment This position is based in customer settings and will require work in and out of doors, including in attics, basements, small‑confined spaces, and rooftops.
Physical Demandsագր>
Regularly required to stand, bend, crawl, or kneel in confined spaces; may be required to lift up to 60 pounds, climb ladders, enter crawl spaces, stand on roofs, and move up and down stairs safely.
The job requires travel trampersonal vehicle.
