Inside Sales Representative – Carter Lumber
We’re looking for a customer‑focused Inside Sales Representative who can be the face of our store and provide friendly, knowledgeable service. The ideal candidate develops relationships with customers, shares product information, and uses your sales skills to help clients accomplish their building projects.
Description When a customer walks in, you will assist them by:
Providing product information and project advice
Producing estimates for packages/projects
Processing transactions and handling the POS system
Following up on online customer quotes
Cold‑calling to qualify new leads
Supporting Outside Sales Reps as needed
Assisting with inventory control (cycle counts, resolving overages/shortages)
Each new ISR completes training on our products, POS system, and paperwork. Salary and commission are paid, and the commission structure has no cap. Requirements
Experience in sales or customer service
Friendly, outgoing personality
Effective communication skills
Familiarity with building materials is helpful, but not required
Team‑player attitude
Ability to meet sales and profit goals
