The DonorRelationsManager plays a central role in building and sustaining meaningful relationships with donors and prospective supporters. Reporting to the Director of Impact and Partnerships, this position blends donor stewardship, CRM management, and data‑informed analysis to drive personalized engagement opportunities to past, current, and future supporters.

This role is ideal for someone who is curious about people and how they engage in different ways. You enjoy learning what motivates donors, noticing patterns in engagement, and using both data and human insight to improve donor experiences. You are detail‑oriented, proactive, and take pride in being on top of information so nothing falls through the cracks. This is an execution‑oriented role with responsibility for managing donor data, coordinating stewardship touchpoints, and supporting fundraising efforts through strong systems and meaningful relationship‑building.

Key Responsibilities Donor Engagement & Stewardship

Draft and send timely, accurate thank‑you letters and donor acknowledgments

Support donor follow‑up communications, reports, and stewardship materials

Ensure donors receive appropriate communications based on their giving history, interests, and engagement

Track donor touchpoints and stewardship activities to support thoughtful relationship‑building

Donor & Prospect Relationship Support

Working closely with the Marketing Manager, create and manage donor and prospect engagement journeys, including tracking next steps and follow‑ups

Support relationship management by identifying opportunities for deeper engagement

Maintain awareness of donor history and context to support personalized outreach

Serve as a reliable partner in ensuring donors feel seen, valued, and informed

CRM & Data Management

Accurately enter and process donations, pledges, and donor information in Salesforce

Maintain clean, up‑to‑date donor records and ensure data integrity

Create and manage donor segments to support targeted outreach and appeals

Run regular reports to track engagement, giving trends, and follow‑up needs

Analysis & Continuous Improvement

Analyze donor data to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities for improved engagement

Support the planning and execution of annual appeals, including segmentation and follow‑up

Recommend improvements to donor journeys, communications, and internal processesAsk thoughtful questions of the data and help translate insights into action

Qualifications

1–3 years of experience in fundraising, donor engagement, development operations, CRM administration, or a related role

Experience working with a CRM (Salesforce or similar); Salesforce training provided

Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills

Comfort working with data, reports, and spreadsheets

Strong written communication skills

Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and project management skills

Proven ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and maintain quality under pressure

Curiosity, initiative, and a desire to understand the “why” behind donor behavior

Preferred (but not required)

Salesforce Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP) experience

Experience supporting annual appeals or donor stewardship programs

Familiarity with nonprofit fundraising operations or donor lifecycle management

Work Environment & Benefits

Full‑time, in‑person role at Arch Grants headquarters (St. Louis, MO)

Occasional evening/weekend availability for events

Ability to lift/move up to 25 lb (e.g., room setup, event supplies)
