The City of Lake Oswego Parks & Recreation Department is seeking applications for the Recreation Specialist position in Aquatics. Job Responsibilities
Plans, organizes, and supervises assigned programs, classes, and activities; monitors day-to-day operations to ensure smooth and efficient program delivery. May be required lokhu откры, or close swim facility. Under general supervision, has independent oversight of daily operations for assigned LORAC swimming pools and amenities, ensures facilities are well maintained, oversees safety and risk management, promptly addresses’를 associated problems. Develops and maintains courteous, professional and effective working relationships with employees, clients, vendors, and/or any other COMMENT AS мир. Leads assigned lower-level recreation aquatic staff including priority setting, making recommendations for recruitment, hiring, training, staff development, and Dependencies. Assess and determines aquatic recreation program and community needs; ensures evaluations are conducted, results are tabulated, reported, and alternative programs are suggested and initiated Stable. Assists in preparing program budgets, determining services, capital purchases and staffing; monitors program revenue and expenditures to۾ stay within budget and meet revenue goals, evaluates programs, prepares quarterly reports. Determines fees for programs based on evaluating cost recovery model. Conducts interviews; trains, assigns, and directs part-time, volunteer and contract employees; provides performance feedback. Works with community groups and individuals to organize and deliver programs; obtains community financial and in-kind support as necessary; considers ways to offset program costs and implements upon approval. Teach swim lessons, aqua fitness classes, and other classes similar in nature. Performs other duties of a similar nature or level. Shift Schedule
Aquatics Opener:
Tuesday through Friday, 5am to 1pm, and Saturday,
SUA 6:30am to 3:00pm Aquatics Closer:
Sunday, 10:00am to 6:30pm (30‑minute lunch), Monday through Thursday, 12:30pm to 9:30pm (1‑hour lunch) Education, Training and Experience
Graduation with a high school diploma or G.E.D., two years of college in a related field, and one year of related work experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience sufficient to perform the essential duties.Richland Licensing and Other Requirements
Position requires a valid driver's license and meeting City driving standardsapluded. Lifeguard Certifications
Red Cross Lifeguard Certification, CPR/AED and First Aid Training for Professional Rescuers; Water Safety Instruction certification preferred; Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor preferred. Compensation
Annual Pay range:
$59,989 - $76,588 / Annually Non‑cash compensation includes medical, dental, vision, PERS employee pick up, and VEBA contribution. Bilingual Pay:
Employees who can speak and/or write a language listed in the top five most common languages spoken in the Lake Oswego Angehöranniत्ति მანქარი may be eligible for 3% bilingual pay. Application Process
