Inside Sales Internship

Today we manufacture the industry's broadest range of standard and specialty DWV products, including cast iron and plastic pipe and fittings. Charlotte Pipe is headquartered in Charlotte, NC, and has seven plant locations across the United States. Charlotte Pipe is the nation's top manufacturer of cast iron and plastic pipe and fittings. There is an opening at our Corporate Headquarters for an Inside Sales Intern. This position exposes interns to order processing, pricing and billing and inside sales departments equipping them with vital experience in business operations at the corporate level. Excelling in this role lays the foundation for future employment. Responsibilities
Participate in in-depth trainings on Charlotte Pipe's products Shadow members of the internal wholesale team to learn Build and maintain professional relationships with customers, contractors, regional managers, and reps Respond to all inquiries/customer requests professionally and efficiently Enter data into SAP as required for order entry promptly, professionally, and accurately, consistently meeting expectations Ability to release and process incoming orders Schedule customer shipments and other job-related functions using SAP software Communicate and empathize with customers when needed Identify process improvement opportunities Assist department management with all additional requests Qualifications and Skills
Ability to use appropriate business communication, both verbal and written Strong interpersonal and relational skills Knowledge of or the ability to learn SAP functionality Positive and helpful attitude to foster relationships with team members and other associates throughout the company Capability to learn plastic and cast iron products Proficient in Microsoft Office products Ability to work 100% in office Monday-Friday Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing a college degree in a related field Must have completed a minimum 2 years of coursework Our Benefits Package
