The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art seeks a dynamic and scholarly Curator of American Art to research, preserve, and interpret one of the nation’s most significant collections of American art, spanning the 18th to early 20th centuries. We will consider candidates who meet the requirements for either an
Associate Curator
or a full
Curator
level.
The curator will manage the collection, develop exhibitions, pursue acquisitions, publish scholarly research, and engage diverse audiences.
Requires a Master’s degree (ABD/PhD preferred), 5 years curatorial experience (Associate Curator), 7 or more (Curator), and a proven record in exhibitions, acquisitions, and publications.
