The Digital Outreach & Enrollment Engagement Specialist supports Morton College’s recruitment and enrollment goals through intentional digital marketing, high school engagement, and community outreach. This position leads the development of digital campaigns, maintains active communication pipelines with prospective students, and strengthens relationships with local high schools to drive awareness, inquiries, applications, and enrollment.
Duties Digital Recruitment & Social Media Strategy
Plan and implement digital recruitment campaigns in alignment with enrollment cycles and institutional strategic enrollment priorities.
Create compelling, student-centered digital content for social media, including short-form videos, photography, event features, and program highlights.
Maintain a consistent social media content calendar focused on lead generation, brand visibility, and yield milestones.
Collaborate with marketing, strategic enrollment management, and academic programs to ensure brand consistency and message alignment.
High School Engagement & Pipeline Development
Serve as the primary recruitment liaison to Morton District 201 and designated feeder high schools.
Build and maintain strong, ongoing relationships with school counselors, administrators, coaches, teachers, and activity sponsors.
Conduct high school visits, presentations, classroom workshops, and college-readiness programming.
Support pipeline programs such as Panther Pathways, Family College, and early outreach efforts for freshmen–juniors.
Coordinate outreach activities designed to increase college awareness, readiness, and application completion.
Data, Reporting & Lead Management
Use the college’sCRMsystem (Element451) to manage leads, track engagement, and deliver targeted messaging to prospective students.
Monitor digital metrics, conversion patterns, and high school yield trends to improve recruitment strategies.
Collaborate with Enrollment Services, Academic Advising, and other student support areas to ensure timely follow-up with inquiries and applicants.
Recruitment Events & Engagement Support
Assist with planning, coordination, and implementation of recruitment events such as Open Houses, Admitted Student Days, campus tours, and specialized program showcases.
Support event logistics, prospective student communication, and on-site engagement to ensure a positive visitor experience.
Communication & Relationship Management
Respond promptly to inquiries from prospective students and families via email, phone, text messaging, social media, and other communication channels.
Maintain strong communication loops with high school partners regarding recruitment activities, application status, and advising opportunities.
Serve as a visible ambassador of Morton College in the community, promoting college programs, pathways, and support services.
Other
Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Required Qualifications
High School diploma and a valid Illinois driver’s license.
Demonstrated proficiency in word processing, database management, and data entry.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with students, faculty, staff, and community partners.
Excellent oral, written, visual, and digital communication skills.
Experience designing and implementing marketing and communication campaigns across traditional and social media.
Ability to exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, and work independently with minimal supervision.
Demonstrated ability to work with and support a diverse student population in a multicultural environment.
Flexible schedule availability, including some evening and weekend hours.

Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree.
1–3+ years’ experience in recruitment, admissions, digital marketing, or community engagement (preferably in a community college setting).
