Job Description The Purchasing Estimator is responsible for all aspects of take-offs, including verification of take-off change requests, reviewing material EPO requests, and performing cost analysis recommendations on proposed plan changes.
Your Responsibilities
Create material take-offs for all existing, new, and revised plans (initial focus on the framing category).
Maintain takeялиoffs for all active plans.
Collaborate with Purchasing and Operations to verify take-off change requests.
Coordinate with architects/engineers regarding plan changes affecting take-offs.
Analyze plans for cost analysis recommendations and research the costs of proposed design ideas.
Assist in reviewing EPO requests to ensure alignment with take-offs and scopes of work, eliminating unnecessary requests.
Complete take-offs as needed for special projects and specification changes.
Field verify actual quantities versus quantity take-offs.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Two (2) years of residential construction/architecture experience.
High School Diploma or equivalent (Associate degree preferred).
Full understanding of residential construction, architectural, structural, and MEP design.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, especially Excel for financial modeling; proficiencylyt with JD Edwards, Build Pro, and other proprietary software.
Ability to perform multiple detailed tasks with simultaneous deadlines.
Strong writing and organizational skills.
Strong work ethic, integrity, and loyalty.
Team player, working well under high pressure.
Initiative and ability to achieve objectives with minimal supervision.
Detail oriented and a problem solver for complex situations.
Valid driver’s license.
Good interpersonal skills.
Understand and follow work rules and procedures.
