Customer Service Representative

Olsten Staffing Services is currently assisting a local manufacturing company in their search to fill a customer service representative position in Sumter, SC. This is a temporary part-time opportunity that could potentially turn into a full-time permanent position. Position summary is as follows: Candidate must have excellent multi-tasking skills. Must be an individual who works with a sense of urgency. Employee will be responsible for receiving and processing customer orders and requests ensuring a timely delivery and confirming orders with customers. Employee will work closely with customers, sales, production scheduling and shipping to manage customer orders through the system for timely and accurate delivery, prioritizing changing customer needs. Performance assessment will be conducted after a three-month probation period and every year following. Qualifications: Process customer orders and requests responding promptly and appropriately. Send order confirmations to customers. Work closely with customers, sales, production scheduling and shipping to manage customer orders through the system for timely and accurate delivery, prioritizing changing customer needs. Provide timely and accurate information relative to product and order status. Develop and maintain customer profiles. Review open orders and schedules to ensure customer requirements are fulfilled. Keep sales support manager fully informed of any situations or activities that arise on a daily basis. Issue return authorizations/credits and follow through with shipping and accounting for closure. Arrange for expedite shipments as required. Must be detailed in preparing required documents for shipments and order entry with a high degree of accuracy. Keep customers informed of any schedule changes; work with production scheduling to ensure on time delivery. Approve invoices on a daily basis prior to accounting posting. Cross training. Assist accounting in past dues collection as necessary. Provide certificates of analysis as required by customer. Finished goods inventory control. Order placement to company and/or other vendors for inventory replenishment. Importation of goods from company to customers and various warehouses including customs clearance. Order placement to warehouse for shipments to customers. Exportation of goods from company when necessary. Part-time position with the potential to go full-time.
