Position Summary The Associate Customer Sales Lead will lead the development and implementation of joint business plans for Campbell’s Salty, Bakery, and Cookie/Cracker portfolio for key accounts such as UNFI, AWG, Affiliated, C & S Wes, URM, and Royal Foods. The role is based in the West Coast Region and reports to the West Area Pacific Region Team Lead.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the joint business planning process and annual strategic plan with assigned customer.

Utilize the E4 system to create optimal customer plans to drive the portfolio.

Manage supplier relationships on assigned categories.

Utilize the sales planning tool and customer investment system to create optimal customer plans.

Develop and implement trade promotion strategies and tactical plans with the customer.

Conduct post‑event analysis to evaluate promotional volume, consumption, profit, and spending results versus plan and leverage findings to maximize future promotional opportunities.

Monitor and manage deduction balances and conduct post audits.

Leverage shelf solutions to drive retail availability and additional product placements in store.

Conduct category business reviews, leveraging loyalty and syndicated data, to discuss the state of the business, consumer trends, key business drivers, incremental opportunities, etc.

Leverage Category Management resources and loyalty data appropriately.

Act as a knowledgeable partner of Campbell brand strategies and tactics, implementing them with the customer's key decision makers.

Utilize sound category management practices to proactively link consumer and shopper trends and opportunities.

Lead the customer in the execution of category assessments.

Develop and lead accurate monthly forecasts to maximize supply‑chain efficiencies by tracking shipments, consumption data, and inventory changes for the entire team.

Sell new items to the customer and work with key customer personnel to achieve optimal distribution.

Leverage Customer Marketing resources to develop and implement collaborative marketing programs aligned with brand and customer strategies.

Assess customer’s competitive position, behaviors, and strategies, and determine appropriate investment strategy (trade, customer marketing, integrated marketing equities) that best supports revenue, profit, and share growth.

Develop productive working relationships with senior leadership within the customer's organizational structure.

Responsible for managing multiple categories.

Cross‑Functional Collaboration

Work with key accounts such as UNFI, AWG, Affiliated, C & S Wes, URM, and Royal Foods.

Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including Finance, Category Management, Customer Marketing, Customer Business Managers, and World Headquarters personnel (Integrated Marketing, Customer Development, Brand Management).

Required Qualifications (Must Haves)

Bachelor’s degree.

At least 7 years of experience in the CPG industry.

Strong working knowledge of syndicated databases and technical skills to leverage data.

Experience working with C‑Level executives.

Trade spend experience.

Strong understanding of P&L management.

Proficiency in interpreting syndicated data (IRI/Nielsen).

Strong technical knowledge and experience working with data and applications.

60% travel required.

Preferred Qualifications

Ability to penetrate and conduct meetings at high levels.

Category & brand knowledge.

Knowledge of supply chain operations.

Preferred: P&L management experience.

Compensation and Benefits The target base salary range for this full‑time, salaried position is between $86,200 and $123,900. Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job‑related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. We also offer competitive health, dental, 401(k), and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
