Job Opportunity In Eastern Us Territories

Join the team that is a leader in engineering, designing, and manufacturing of leading-edge military expeditionary products and rugged industrial/commercial products since 1937. This role is assigned to the territories in the eastern part of the US. Preference will be given to candidates located around Fort Drum, NY or Fort Campbell, KY. Essential duties include: Working in an assigned territory with the primary goal of identifying new business opportunities. Meeting with decision-makers to analyze product needs and offer solutions. Developing sales strategies, techniques, and tactics based on customer feedback and the market environment. Working with Inside Sales and Support teams for the achievement of customer satisfaction. Conducting daily visits to customers across DOD, DHS, and commercial markets within the specified region. Reporting on sales data, projections, schedule, results, and activities to the Regional Manager. Conducting demonstrations of new products to customers. Promoting and selling service contracts to enhance the shelf life of currently fielded equipment. Positioning new technology. Supporting customer business team by visiting and establishing relationships with Program Managers in the region. Ensuring that the customer is educated on all HDT product offerings. Professionally representing HDT in appropriate customer related functions including outings, trade shows, and product demonstrations. Ensuring all data and quotes are entered into Salesforce and updated weekly. Providing support and conducting training of HDT products that have been sold to customers within the region. Accountable for and maintaining demonstration equipment and all company property issued. Travel up to 50%, as required. Education/experience/other skills & abilities: BA/BS Degree desired. Sales experience and knowledge in DOD, DHS, and commercial markets. Military experience a plus. Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a dynamic sales environment. Experience in customer service and support. Ability to work a varied schedule, willing to work overtime when necessary. Possesses strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with customers, vendors, employees, and managers at all levels within the company. Possesses strong computer skills with demonstrated proficiency in standard business software packages (e.g., Microsoft Office, Salesforce, SAP).
