Summary: CICONIX is seeking an Instructional Systems Specialist with six (6) years of experience to support the Special Warfare Training Wing (SWTW), Human Performance (HP) and Support Services (SS) for the U.S. Department of Defense, Air Education and Training Command (AETC). The Instructional Systems Specialist will serve as an education and training developer for the SWTW Training Pipeline. They will be responsible for the education and training development of individual instructional programs. Their services will be aligned according to the SWTW Training Pipeline area of greatest need, as identified by the SWTW Chief Learning Officer.
About the Role:
Assesses adequacy of audiovisual products, determines the need for revisions, and develops recommendations for improvement.
Plans, develops, and revises the content, organization, style, format, emphasis, and treatment of instructional materials and media to meet educational standards.
Develops effective instructional material or media methodologies, to include order of presentation, level of interaction, feedback, and remediation.
Knowledge of professional instructional design and instructional materials development, to include use of technology for design and delivery of training.
Knowledge of professional principles, practices, and techniques of instruction as well as professional training administration concepts, practices, policies, and procedures.
Ability to analyze problems and develop timely economical solutions.
Learning theory, psychology of learning, educational psychology: Study of learning theories as they relate to the systematic design, development, and validation of instructional material.
Instructional design practices: Study of the principles and techniques used in designing training programs, developing design strategies and models, and applying design methods to the improvement of instructional effectiveness.
Educational evaluation: Study of the techniques for evaluating the effectiveness of instructional/educational programs, including developing written and performance tests and survey instruments, and determining the reliability and validity of evaluation instruments.
Instructional product development: Study of the techniques appropriate for developing training materials, including identifying learner characteristics, specifying objectives, applying training strategy, validating training materials, and evaluating training.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field of discipline.
Licensure & Certifications (Current & Unrestricted):
The Instructional Systems Specialist shall possess certifications: Analyze Design Develop Implement and Evaluation (ADDIE), Technical Writer Course, and Instructional Systems Designer course or Systems Approach to Training (SAT).
Experience:
A minimum of six (6) years of relevant work experience with Military training curriculum development.
Security & Background Check:
U.S. Citizenship and a successful background investigation are required.
Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
Additional Requirements:
Willingness to comply with the government vaccination requirements.
Knowledge of the Instructional Systems Design process, and instructional technology, and the ability to apply it to instructional development and proficient understanding and working knowledge of computer, email, voice mail, and cell phone texts to perform duties and with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
