Position hours: 8:00am - 5:00pm. The Refinish Technician is responsible for refinishing On-Highway Peterbilt Trucks to meet pre-accident OEM conditions or industry-quality standards, overseeing the paint booth and mixing room, and reporting to the body shop manager. The Refinish Technician will also perform some minor body work. This position is an hourly position, not flat rate. Competencies

Safety & Compliance: Follow all personal and environmental safety measures; wear appropriate PPE (goggles, gloves, respirators, protective suits); maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area. Equipment & Tools Maintenance: Keep body shop equipment, spray booth, mixing room, and paint tools in good working condition. Repair & Quality Assurance: Examine damaged vehicles, report hidden damage or broken parts, check body repairs before primer, maintain industry-standard quality, minimize repaints, and remove imperfections from painted areas. Painting & Preparation: Clean vehicle surfaces, apply masking, mix and apply primers/sealers, sand and prep surfaces, fill dents with putty, and perform finish paint applications. Communication & Reporting: Report to Body Shop Foreman/Manager, update on repair status, alert to unusual issues or delays, and maintain positive corporate citizenship. Professionalism & Performance: Maintain proficiency of 85% or better, multitask effectively under pressure, adhere to company policies, and present a professional appearance. Job Qualifications

A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required. Preferred experience: knowledge and hands-on experience with Imron paint systems and processes. Minimum of 3 years in commercial vehicle or automotive painting and refinishing, or a closely related role. Knowledge and experience with CAT heavy equipment and diesel engine parts are preferred. Physical Requirements

Lifting/carrying 40 lbs.; lift/carry and 50lb pulling; standing/sitting up and down stairs, ladders, standing, sitting, and climbing into machines; dexterity normal; repetitive motions frequent movement requiring hands, wrists, and fingers; the noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate to loud in other situations, with both constant and sudden loud noises possible.
