Digital Print Operator
Our client, a well-established printing and mailing company in Sterling, VA, is seeking a motivated Digital Print Operator to manage pre-press, file imposition, and the high-end production of quality commercial print materials. Compensation: $22.00/Hour and Up DOE Location: Sterling, Virginia Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30AM - 5:00P Responsibilities: Operate high-end laser digital equipment and finishing machines to produce brochures, booklets, and direct mail. Utilize digital printing software to impose files and set up variable data for mail merges. Monitor control panels and adjust configurations to ensure content accuracy and quality. Read and follow work orders, layouts, and job tickets to meet tight production deadlines. Communicate with customers regarding file issues and production timelines. Load and offload paper and maintain a clean, organized workspace for safety. Perform quality checks on proofs to ensure they match job requests. Requirements: High school diploma or GED. 3 years of experience in a print shop production environment. Proficiency with digital print equipment such as Konica Minolta (highly preferred), Ricoh, or Canon. Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat) and EFI Fiery. Knowledge of mailing software, Excel, and both Windows and Mac operating systems. Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and bend/squat periodically. Benefits: 401(k) with match, profit sharing, and health insurance.
