Outside Shipper/Pipe Bundler
The purpose of the Outside Shipper/Receiver/Parts Bundler position is to verify the correctness of incoming shipments; to insure distribution of received materials to the appropriate department; and to gather, prepare, stage, and load finished goods for deliveries onto outbound trailers. Will also identify and bundle irrigation pipe and will stage, box and load international shipments. Responsibilities include: Determining accuracy and condition of inbound deliveries and outbound customer shipments. Reconciling materials received to purchase orders within the computer system. Accurately identifying, counting, transferring, and placing component part inventories at designated locations. Demonstrating a positive company image to outside entities as may be required to interact with transportation and freight companies. Using hand and power tools correctly if required. Running a forklift and securing a forklift license if required. Being familiar and cognizant of safety guidelines throughout the company. Maintaining a good attendance and punctuality record. Reading and interpreting load lists, packing lists, bill of lading, and shipping paperwork. Using and understanding various specialized measuring tools and equipment unique to the job. Having good communication and interpersonal skills, as they may interact with other departments, and management of the company, and the general public. Working with limited supervision and showing initiative, tact, good judgement, and sound reasoning. Handling the physical requirements of the position. Having neat and legible handwriting. Learning and using the companys computer system to identify company and customers trailers. Performing other related duties as directed by supervision.
