Job Summary The Sr. Employee Relations Business Partner provides advanced HR and employee relations support for employees and leaders in designated pavilions. The role serves as a trusted advisor to leaders on employee relations issues, including performance management, workplace investigations, policy interpretation, employee grievances, DE&I, EEOC, FLSA, FMLA, and ADAAA. The partner provides interpretation of Harris Health policies, conducts investigations, delivers training, and advises on complex and escalated HR issues. The position assists in executing pavilion-level and system-wide HR strategies and plans that align with the Mission, Vision and Values of Harris Health System. The partner frequently interfaces with key HR functions—including Employee Relations, Talent Acquisition, Compensation, Benefits, HRIS, and Learning and Talent Management—while participating in ad‑hoc committees related to HR strategy, tracking and reporting on employee relations functions, partnering with corporate compliance on allegations that require investigation, and collaborating with other HR functions on strategic initiatives. The role also formulates relationships across HR functions to deliver value‑added service to the supported business unit, serves as a liaison with union representatives regarding employee corrective actions when appropriate, leads highly confidential and complex employee relations investigations, and mentors less experienced HR staff.

Minimum Qualifications Degrees Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field required.

Licenses & Certification Certified HR Professional preferred (PHR, SPHR, sHRBP, or SHRM‑CP).

Work Experience Five (5) years of progressive human resources responsibilities and in‑depth knowledge and experience of HR disciplines, including a combination of at least two of the following: Employee Relations, Compensation, Benefits, Talent Acquisition, Organizational Effectiveness & Development, Workforce Management, and Business & HR strategy. Prior experience in a healthcare setting is highly preferred.

Language Skills Spanish Preferred.

Communication Skills Above average verbal (heavy public contact); exceptional verbal (e.g., public speaking); writing and correspondence, writing and reports.

Proficiencies MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, MS Outlook, Personal Computer, Typing.

Job Attributes Knowledge/skills/abilities: Analytical, medical terminology, research, risk mitigation, DE&I, labor and employment law.

Work Schedule Flexible, travel, eligible for telecommute (hybrid schedule).
