What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
Oversee daily coding workflow and ensure timely, accurate, and compliant coding processes
Supervise and coordinate activities of medical coders, including staffing schedules and audits
Maintain knowledge of medical record and coding laws, regulations, and compliance
Assist in developing policies and procedures related to coding and charge entry
Educate team members and caregivers on coding practices and charge capture
What is Required (Qualifications):
High School Diploma required
Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience based on education required
At least 3 years of coding experience for hospital and/or professional fee services required
Minimum of five (5) years of coding and/or charge capture experience required
Experience with ICD-10 diagnosis, ICD-10 procedures, HCPCS level I and II codes, and CPT coding required
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
Associate's Degree in healthcare administration, Health Information Technology, or related field preferred
2 years of coding auditing experience preferred
Experience in a Supervisor/Lead role with oversight of 4+ employees preferred
