A full-time Educational Diagnostician position is available starting immediately through May 22, 2026, serving K-12 students in a public school setting located in Metairie, LA. This role involves working closely with the school community to evaluate and support students with diverse learning needs. The position operates Monday through Friday during school hours, approximately 35 hours per week, including a 30-minute unpaid lunch.
Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive educational assessments to identify student learning profiles and needs
Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
Interpret evaluation results and provide recommendations for instructional modifications and interventions
Maintain thorough and accurate documentation in compliance with state and district guidelines
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to ensure student progress and compliance
Provide consultation and professional development related to assessment results and strategies for student support
Qualifications
Active Louisiana Department of Education certification as an Educational Diagnostician
Demonstrated experience in administering and interpreting a range of educational assessments for K-12 students
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with students, families, and school personnel
Ability to manage multiple cases efficiently while adhering to ethical and legal standards
Familiarity with state and federal regulations related to special education and assessment
Location: Metairie, Louisiana, within Jefferson Parish School District
