As a Purchasing Specialist, you’ll support our Preferred Partners by guiding them through contracts, providing training, and assisting with day-to-day purchasing needs. If you enjoy problem-solving, coordinating details, and being the go-to resource for vendors and internal teams alike, this role is a great fit.
Job Responsibilities Support Our Vendor Partnerships
Onboard new Preferred Partners by preparing contracts and guiding them through each step
Keep contract documents organized, updated, and routed to the right teams
Collect required waiver/lien releases
Train partners on our processes and tools, including the Weekley Partner Hub
Keep Our Purchasing Operations Running Smoothly
Research and resolve variance issues with accuracy and urgency
Create extra orders, back-charges, and returns as needed
Assist partners with payment questions and job reassignments
Place and follow up on orders to ensure timely delivery
Provide information to support rebate submissions for our National Strategic Sourcing Team
Be a Key Part of Our Construction Workflow
Partner with Construction Field Supervisors and internal teams to support the starts process
Prepare weekly and monthly reports
Track starts, communicate updates, and help manage changes throughout the process
Qualifications
Prior experience or demonstrated interest in purchasing, construction, or homebuilding is preferred; training will be provided for strong candidates
Strong organizational abilities with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail
Professional communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships with team members and Preferred Partners
