Position Overview: The Express Service Advisor is responsible for scheduling service work in the service department and selling additional needed services to customers. The Express Service Advisor is the dealership's first-line customer relations and service representative.

You have keen technical skills and thrive on learning

What You'll Do:

Greet each customer in a prompt, courteous manner, and let customers who are waiting in line know that they will be serviced soon

Communicate with service customers to determine the nature of the mechanical problems

Secure agreement from customers before repairs; cover cost estimate; and approximate time when the vehicle's work will be completed

Obtain customer and vehicle data

Schedule appointments using dealership-approved forms

Communicate the need for additional work when needed; explain the details to the customer, including the extra cost and time consideration, and document properly on the repair order

Handle telephone inquiries regarding work in process and appointments, and return phone messages promptly

Advise customers of parts ordered and make an appointment to have them installed before the customer leaves

Additional Requirements:

You have a minimum of one year of prior automotive experience

Possess a valid driver's license and have a favorable motor vehicle record

Ability to pass a pre-employment background check

Authorized to work in the United States
