About the IHT Strategy & Enablement Team
St. Luke’s Information Health Technology (IHT) Strategy & Enablement team brings together core operational functions, project and portfolio leadership, and emerging technology strategy to help IHT deliver measurable, enterprise-wide impact. About this Role We’re looking for a Manager, Business Operations to lead the operational engine of the department. In this role, you’ll manage a small, high-performing team and oversee the systems and processes that keep our work running smoothly – from workforce and administrative operations to financial visibility, contracting, strategic planning, and performance reporting. You’ll work closely with IHT leaders and teams to build clarity, consistency, and momentum to work that enables clinicians and supports exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities Operations
Lead day-to-day business operations, including coordination, documentation, facilities/space needs
Manage onboarding and staff transitions to ensure seamless moves, transfers, and role changes
Maintain visibility into contracts, renewals, vendor ownership, and sourcing timelines; partner with internal owners to support planning and reduce surprises
Oversee internal and external communications, including department updates, change communications, and stakeholder announcements
Planning, Performance & Improvement (Create visibility + make it better)
Own staffing workflows (FTE requests, backfills, role changes) and maintain capacity visibility to support prioritization and planning
Provide financial support, including budget/forecast inputs, variance visibility, and leadership-ready summaries
Maintain and integrate IHT strategic roadmaps, ensuring updates, sequencing, and dependencies are clear and actionable
Own department performance metrics, operational KPIs, and recurring reporting packages
Lead improvements to tools, templates, and workflows; track outcomes and standardize what works
People Leadership
Hire, coach, and develop direct reports; set priorities, manage workload, and ensure high-quality outputs
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s + 4 years (or equivalent experience)
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in IT/healthcare operations, PMO, strategy, or business management
Budget, workforce planning, and vendor/contract coordination experience
Strong Excel and Power BI (dashboard/reporting) experience
Continuous improvement mindset and familiarity with performance improvement and/or innovation frameworks
