Title LEAD, PRODUCT DESIGNER, APPAREL – 4 Month Contract

Description Req # 14403 – Product Designer – Specialized 3

On‑site role at WHQ; typical work hours, WFH Fridays

FTE leave coverage; end date most likely staying as is

Degree preferred, not required

Adobe Illustrator/CLO 3D certifications nice to have, not a hard requirement

5+ years’ experience minimum within a product design role; HM would prefer more, and will prioritize candidates who have more than 5 years relevant experience

Top Must‑Have Skills

Apparel construction; must have knowledge of how garments get put together

CLO experience

Adobe Illustrator

Ability to bring projects to life and show a concept effectively

Desired Soft Skills

Very collaborative in nature

Ability to work autonomously

Additional Qualifications

Experience designing technical, functional apparel (as opposed to streetwear/style)

Prior experience (or experience with a similar brand)

Someone who is ready to start work ASAP and hit the ground running

Presentation & storytelling skills; professionalism

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Apparel Design or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training

5+ years of relevant work experience in the apparel sport industry

Demonstrated passion and understanding of trend and visual culture

Knowledge of product creation and graphic application for performance apparel

Expert communication and presentation skills using a variety of formats

Ability to seek out opportunities to elevate apparel through craft and construction

Proficient in Adobe CC and comfortable working within new digital spaces such as CLO and Vizcom

Passion for bridging innovation to a large range of culturally relevant apparel product

A collaborative mindset to work with other designers and teams while having the ability to work efficiently and autonomously when necessary.

What You’ll Work On We will ask you to be seeking out opportunities to translate apparel culture of today through a lens, as well as supporting the Design leadership team to bring long‑term vision and strategy to life. A typical day in the life could include designing a range of performance apparel product types including base layer to outerwear, men’s and women’s, mocking up samples, creating presentations/storytelling, reviewing prototypes and revisions in preparation for a seasonal product launch.

Additional Notes

ETW will work on a direct team of ~10 others; will also do a lot of cross‑functional work with industrial designers, digital designers, etc.

Confidentiality will be key in this role, as the ETW will be working on new projects
