Details of Position Procurement of supplies and parts. Analyze, supply and report on vendors and information required to support Production. Ensures timely delivery and accuracy of information to Accounting. Provides support to management.

Purchasing Responsibilities

Manage the procurement of office supplies, office furniture, inventory, and non-inventory materials.

Maintain and update the computerized purchasing system, including accurate entry and tracking of purchase orders.

Prepare, cost, and distribute monthly purchasing reports to the Accounting Department following management approval.

Communicate directly with vendors regarding material procurement, non-conforming material returns, and expediting shortages.

Source and evaluate new products and vendors in collaboration with the Engineering team.

Continuously review purchasing requirements to ensure optimal pricing, quantities, and supplier performance.

Recommend process improvements to management to enhance purchasing efficiency and effectiveness.

Material Control Responsibilities

Analyze cycle count reports and assist with reconciling inventory discrepancies.

Monitor open purchase orders to ensure timely material delivery and expedite orders as needed to prevent shortages.
