An ideal candidate will have previous PR experience and/or a personal interest in the interior design, architecture, luxury lifestyle industries, or adjacent categories, and possess an entrepreneurial spirit and desire to grow with the company. Roles and Responsibilities
Proactive media monitoring and maintaining trackers of media and pending placements. Daily account management duties, including coordination of sample loans, meeting planning, developing recaps and agendas, monthly status reports, updating contact lists, conducting client-related research, maintaining subscriptions, etc. Build targeted media lists in home/design, fashion (men’s and women’s), accessories, lifestyle, consumer, and business outlets on a national and regional level, in print and digital categories for general outreach and targeted press/client events. Contribute to media outreach (in tandem with an Account Executive) and press material development, inclusive of pitches, face sheets, media alerts, media briefings, etc. Maintain an extensive industry database of media and influencers, as well as architecture and design firms in key markets throughout the US. Stay up-to-date on relevant consumer and trade media, including print and digital publications; report to the team on industry news and opportunities for clients on a regular basis. Work in tandem with the internal social media team to support the firm’s social content calendar. Possess an interest in understanding how to prioritize duties, meet deadlines, proactively communicate progress, and deliverables. This position will support the entire team and report directly to an Account Executive. Requirements
B.S/B.A degree in Public Relations/Communications or a related field. Entry-level position; internship experience at a PR agency required. Exceptional interpersonal, networking, and verbal and written communications skills; team-oriented attitude. Creative, efficient, detail-oriented, and organized. Positive, can-do attitude. Proactive with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a collaborative yet fast-paced environment. Flexible, driven, curious, and passionate about the design industry. Excellent writing skills with attention to detail. Proficient in Google Workspace, including Docs, Sheets, Presentation, etc. Knowledge of PR databases/tools such as Muck Rack, PR Newswire/Businesswire, Cision, etc. Benefits
